Customizing the plates and arms

- Clamp the baby wall plate.
- Pick a location for the additional hole.
- For example, for the small Optoma projector and Avanger baby wall plates offset from the center of the plate by approx. 2.5 cm (1 inch).
- Use a hammer and center punch to make an indentation in the plate where the hole will be.
- Drill the hole through the plate at low torque.
- Use a grinder or file to remove metal burrs caused by drilling.
- If the arm is too long, use a saw to cut off the unneeded length.
- Use a grinder to chamfer the cut edge and remove metal burrs caused by sawing.
- When you are using the arm, put a rubber cover over the cut end of the arm or, if the arm does not have a grip attached, use this end to mount other things to hide this.
