Last time this was discussed (~1.5 weeks prior) we came to a consensus that it might be more worth it to distribute the OS image through OCI rather than OSTree natively. This would allow us to rely on existing registry infrastructure. Not to mention that the OSTree bindings for Go are sparse and not quite good.
