Remote authentication required but no callback set

Attempting to add two plugins--nerdtree and fern--with the :iplug command just now I got the error message that I used as the title of this post.

I've searched for help on the web. What came up was folks seeking help in very specific coding contexts. All way over my noncoder's head.

I succeeded in installing fern today. But when I then went to install a fern plugin I got this message again.

As a noncoding vim user I am not competent to decipher this message or determine what I am to do.

I would greatly appreciate help.

The developer of the plug-in with which I get this message—fern-hijack-vim—suggests the problem I am experiencing may be a problem with the plug-in manager I am using. lambdalisue/vim-fern#487 (comment)

That, of course, is iVim’s iPlug. I would greatly appreciate help in addressing this issue.

Since my last post I have successfully installed five plugins, including fern, the plugin for which fern-hijack-vim is a plugin, without getting this message. I have let the fern-hijack-vim developer know that i have done so.
