Well I mean my name's in it. And having a solid identity helps enforce the spirit of teh CC license as attributed open source work. But that's just my opinion more than anything rly.

Is attribution given anywhere? While we "use" this feature, it appears to have been an oversight rather than a deliberate decision.

I always assumed it was exposed somewhere for use in sigs and stuff. With main purpose being tying emails / names together for license purposes and viewable by admins /or whoever has perms configured.

I'm not really judging how necessary this is at this point. Given we've never had any problems.
