Maybe make acid gas translucent and keep neurotoxin gas vision-blocking given how laughably easy it is to ignore neurotoxin? |
I agree to this. much more better than just straight up removing vision-blocking gas. Gas spam was the reason xenos are delaying/stopping the marine ball. I think losing the LoS block will just make pushing too easy. and we already had anti gas grenades to counter it and this gives marine reason to invest in it too. also we will never feel the joy to see the aftermath when the boiler gas dissipates. |
If Zack has taught me anything, neuro is pretty alright and LoS block is incredibly powerful. Personally I would rather deal with the issue of why gas spam is necessary in the first place, which to me is IFF hordes. One idea for this PR is to increase gas radius to make it specifically for area denial. |
I think this happened in an older version of TGMC, boilers just exclusively used neurotoxin. Might've been a bug, but I remember some rounds where that was a thing. |

Why It's Good For The Game
I said in the root removal PR that after some testing with antigas and such, we could come back to Boiler walance. There are a multiple of options to try, but sent gas nade becoming translucent worked well there to help it from becoming oppressive but still a form of area control (without LoS block). The AP increase was inspired by Elsa, direct hits with how telegraphed they are should do some more damage. Radius increase requested by Kuro to give boiler area denial.
