Mkondoni voting App

Introduction

Voting generally can be a very involving and expensive process. As a solution, we developed the Mkondoni voting app so people can vote remotely without need for long queues. The app takes in a user's ID or passport number and verifies it against a list of registered voters. Once authenticated, a user can vote only once.

Setup Instruction (Ubuntu)

1. Open your terminal (Ctrl + Alt + T)
2. Git clone https://github.com/VictorKMaina/mkondoni.git
3. cd mkondoni
4. sudo apt-get update
5. sudo apt-get install python3.6
6. sudo apt-get install python3-pip
7. sudo apt-get install python3.6-venv
8. python3.6 -m venv virtual
9. source virtual/bin/activate
10. pip install -r requirements.txt
