When adding an expression variable, one should see the parsing error in the UI. Currently, if there is an error, the OK button does not close (which is fine) but the user may not figure out the error.

How to reproduce? The expression toMonthly(hbu_da_lmp, mean) returns the parsing error: Unknown variable hbu_da_lmp. However, the error does not show up in the UI.
