I think it used to work before at some point using KSU but somehow it currently does not. APatch fixed it a while ago and Magisk always worked. Can you fix it too?

Thanks, that'd explain why it worked before but I'm using LKM currently as is recommended. Is this not implemented there?

I didn't build the kernel though
Guessing need to ask my ROM dev to implement that change

Same error on non GKI - the Termux packages install fine but complain about /dev/pts not mounted.
