To start the ball rolling on the new ggplot2 wiki and to show case some of things that you're doing with ggplot2, I've organised the first ggplot2 case study competition. To enter, you need to write up a small case study where you've found ggplot2 useful. A valid entry is a wiki page that contains (at a minimum):

*   your name and affiliation
*   the plot
* why you created that plot and what it revealed
* the code used to create the plot
* (if possible) the data behind the plot

If you want to, you might also want to show some other related plots, or some of the steps you took to get to your final plot. You are welcome to enter as many times as you like.

Once your page is complete, link to it from the case studies page, and send me an email (hadley@rice.edu) with your contact details so that I can get in touch if you win.

Prizes: Springer has donated two free books (of your choice) from the useR series. I'll pick one winner, and we'll vote on the other as a community.

Competition closes 1 August 2009.
