Notification area doesn't show MPRIS controls #439
Comments
Hello @aia832003. It looks like a bug in GNOME Shell rather than in Nuvola. The MPRIS widget is shown initially but disappears when Nuvola starts playing. And there are errors in GNOME Shell log. |
But Deezer works. If I compare what Deezer and Google Play Music scripts send, I might find out what GNOME Shell dislikes. @aia832003, could you confirm that Deezer does not exhibit this issue on your PC as well? |
Good evening Jiri,
I can confirm that Deezer presents the controls as expected.

Let can_play/can_pause always be true. Issue: #439
Could you test whether it is fixed in the latest stable builds? It should say Nuvola 4.11.15. |
I can confirm that this does now allow for the MPRIS to show for all the
services I use! Thanks, Jiri! And I look forward to the new Pandora app.

Issue is with MPRIS in notification area of Fedora 28. I open the Google Play, SiriusXM, and PocketCast scripts and none of them present the media controls in this area while playing like other apps that support this OS feature.
