Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
For my shorthand practice I need to be able to show both superscript (above the line) and subscript (beneath the line) characters. I also need to be able to keyboard the the 'therefore' math symbol. I tried

Describe the solution you'd like
I'd like very much to be able to type these characters on the keyboard -- any combo of keys would suit me fine!

Describe alternatives you've considered
Unless I'm doing something wrong, I've -- so far -- not been able to get either of the following* to work for me:

  • Method 1: Navigate “Insert Menu“→ “Symbol” and click “more symbols” to open Symbols window. In “Symbols” tab, select “Symbol” in “Font” drop-down menu and click “therefore sign(∴)”
  • Method 2 (fastest): Type “\therefore” and press space. Enable “Use Math Autocorrect outside Math Region” to use this method.
  • Method 3: Hold down Alt key and type 8756.
  • Method 4: Type 2234 and press Alt + X

Additional context

Hi Thomas,

Is there a means by which I can input/practice shorthand characters that are positioned as either a subscript (like the "2" in H2O for water molecule) or as a superscript character as the "2" in 2squared)? I'd also like to be able to represent the therefore symbol: the stack of three dots.

Any thoughts?

Hey, thanks for this request.

I am not entirely sure what you mean by it. Would you want to be able to type superscript and subscript during practice? For shorthand practice, I would expect that you'd want to type words containing these special characters by replacing them with something simpler.

During collection building, typing in these characters should work as expected. Eg. you could have combinations like this:
