Multiple people have, in different ways, said that support items for allies (certain red wands and staves) should play a bigger role in the ally game, instead of the reliance on empowerment and plenty for multiplying their strength. Another idea on boosting the ally game is adding a new "bad" wand of reflection that is similar to a wand of invisibility in both charges and effect duration. This would introduce a new temporary status "Reflective" with a high chance to reflect. The wand would be a useful for ally builds but would also make the game a bit harder for all other builds because it would spawn instead of something likely better. It could be useful for the player if you can succeed at bouncing the bolt off of something to hit yourself, similar to the wand of invisibility. Also, use-testing it presents a new dimension to testing unknown wands.
This is a summary of what I've heard about balance. These can be split off into separate issues once a bit more direction is established.
