Python Password Manager with Symmetric Encryption and Master Password

This is a simple password manager developed in Python. It uses symmetric encryption techniques to securely store your passwords. A master password is required to access the stored passwords.

Installation

  1. Clone this repository to your computer.

    git clone https://github.com/tn3w/passwordmanager.git
  2. Navigate to the project directory.

    cd passwordmanager
  3. Run the application.

    python passwordmanager.py

Usage

  1. Launch the application by running python passwordmanager.py.
  2. Create a password file or select an existing password file
  3. You will be prompted to set a master password. Remember this password well as it's needed to unlock the password manager.
  4. Add new passwords, view them, or delete them as needed.
  5. Enter the master password to access the stored passwords.
