Add KP125 #52
Comments
Hey @sbdobrescu I haven't been able to purchase this device in Europe yet. By the way, I have one question for you. The KP125 is supported by Homekit did you already test using HomeKit? It's working well? |
Yes, they work great. Let me know if you need any details or if there is anything I can do to help you. |
Hello, just like @sbdobrescu said, please add KP-125 Energy Monitor Plug as supported devices. In the USA, this is being sold as a pair (2 smart plugs) from BestBuy, Target for USD $22.99. KP-125 is HomeKit compatible. I was able to add this to HomeKit within Kasa App. It's working well within HomeKit and very responsive. However, using the Eve App, I cannot see the energy consumption. |
That is really nice price :D |
Thank you for the update. I look forward to a newer version of the Watt App to try it out. |
I believe Watt 4.3.0 doesn’t support the Kasa KP125. I would very much appreciate this feature as well. Thanks @tnmendes !! |
Thanks for the update. Installed 4.3.3 but kp125 aren’t available. Was that the update you were hoping to enable support for them, or next version? |
Hey guys, I just released a new version for iOS (4.3.4) that is adding support for KP125 can someone test and check if is working well? |
Works great. Thank you for your quick turnaround. Well done! A bag of coffee is coming your way. Keep up the good work!!! |
Great to hear that is working well and thank you @sbdobrescu :D |
Hello, thanks for updating the iOS App (V4.3.4) to include KP125. So far, it seems to be working fine ok on iOS with my KP125. I just downloaded the app for my Mac. I noticed an issue on the Mac App is that it's not updating the power correctly. So if I turned on my KP125 switch with a small appliance, the Mac App has a little icon for my KP125 showed the instantaneous Watt. However, when I set a timer to turn off that KP125 switch, looked back at the Mac App, that last Wattage value was still there on the small icon. Going to Home View, then back to that space, the little icon still showing the large wattage even though the KP125 is off. |
@PlatGitHub468 Can you take a screenshot the next time this happens? |
That is really strange, is this just happing with the device K4? |
KP125 is not on the list of supported devices, but from API perspective doesn't look to be any different than other energy monitoring outlets.
