It would seem that sometimes the track files have incomplete data, ie the end of the track is not at the location it should be, I know this is to be true since it has happened on some of my flights where I know the flight landed back at the tack off point but this is not what the track shows. I suspect it is due to a flight having a zero ground speed at some point. Not sure if this is the case but it is my current explanation. Interestingly this does not affect the flight duration. Need to check the track concatenation algorithm.
