[BETA] All new DNS for TomsProject! #6
Comments
So after nearly two weeks of test, we noticed Constellix is still too expensive for us, (Nearly $8 per month, my VM costs $10 per month, but it has 1 core and 2 GB memory.) After a long time of thinking, we have to move our aboard DNS to Amazon Web Services at the end of this month. |
Data: Our domain has around 20k queries per day outside mainland China, which is not a lot. Although we want to provide the fastest DNS to our users, we have to use Route 53 with bad routing due to Constellix's high starting pricing. |
Constellix's first domain costs $5 per month, that's ten-time expensive than Route 53 ($0.5/month) |
We have to use GeoDNS due to GFW, so we can not use some free DNS add-on like Vercel (Constellix), Netlify (NS1), and so on. |
DNS transit started today. |
NOW TPDNS IS PROVIDED BY ROUTE 53. |
Due to AliDNS is tooooooooooo slow outside mainland China, we decided to try a new DNS provider, Constellix. We'll try to use it for one month, and decide if we'll use it. (IT'S NOT VERY CHEAP)
