I somehow managed to remove the binding for the main menu trigger, and locked myself out of the menu and the settings. I suspect I did this by reassigning the same key to a different action. I ended up having to delete app data just to be able to browse again. :D
I think it shouldn't be possible to clear the binding for the main menu action, or at least there should be a clear warning when doing this.

Heh, yeah. Clearing the key binding to open the main menu should at least warn the user in some way before letting them cripple the browser like that.
As a workaround to be able to get the menu open so you can get back to the settings and add a key binding for this after losing it: Download something. It doesn't matter what you download, just find a link that lets you open the context menu (by pressing and holding the d-pad center button) and hit Download. As it starts the download, it also opens the menu, then you can go back to the settings and reassign a key binding to open the main menu.
