Unencrypted communication with VisITMeta dataservice #2

The (HTTP/REST) communication with the dataservice is completely unencrypted.
Encryption for this communication channel is mandatory, because the transferred
information may contain valid username/passwords for authentication with a MAPS and
potential sensitive IF-MAP metadata information.

Workaround: Use stunnel (www.stunnel.org) to encrypt the communication.
