Integrate with libgit2 or something like that?

I think we've been doing too much os/exec. I wonder whether we should use libgit2 or something like that.

Any opinions?

I don't know. I started one in the past, but abandoned it. Maybe someone else is doing it now :)

Looks like there is https://github.com/libgit2/git2go (that uses libgit2 under the hood).
