I have a few xinitrc files in my ~/.config directory ; i was thinking if we could do some kind of a config parameter specifying where the xinitrc file can be found ; i would like to make the changes if it could be merged later :)

Hello,
it's a fact that /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc is not considered in emptty as init script. However I don't think it is good idea to allow change path/paths of .xinitrc. This file has standard location and I believe it should be used that way to not make confusion, when different Display Manager is used. I'd suggest to use single .xinitrc and choose inside which custom init script should be started.

Of course you can make the changes and use them, however I'm not convinced it should be standard feature in this specific repo.
