@matthewlipski it might be better to add this attr to the editor container right?

I am also facing the same. My Mantine website is default on dark-mode, but as soon as i introduce BlockNote on it, it turns light mode. Seems like blocknote adds data-mantine-color-scheme to the html tag, causing all these issues.
