How to edit published blog written in the slate plugin.

I am asking this question because every time we open the editor it has initial value that we set.But if we want to edit the content after it get published.,the editor will not show the content we wrote else it shows the initial value.I tried to give it a value attribute but it is not supported value attribute.Any answers will be appreciated
