For both Linux and AIX the CPU speed is read from a file. In Linux the file is always there. But in AIX it needs to be generated. Right now that generation is 'manual' by calling the "prtconf > cfg.txt" command. Thus I think either TraceRAR should automatically generate the file each time, or we should add that to the run.sh script for the AIX version. Your call on what is best.
Maybe best yet, to make AIX version more like Linux lets have it read a file in AIX that is also always in existence and has the CPU clock rates ? But have to admit, i do nt knwo where that file exists !
Or .... use the clock rate determined when we set up the 'clock' for timing between ops ?
