ಜಾ಼ಕಿರ್
This word is incorrect in harfbuzz and noto serif Kannada,
but correct in coretext and noto sans Kannada!

Thanks for the report! This one looks more like a font bug; filed https://github.com/googlei18n/noto-fonts/issues/865. Still, I’ve added a test case — Kannada clearly needs better testing across all shaping engines.
