Currently, each cell has the dataset's name as the tooltip. This automatically gets used as the accessible description and then gets read out for every cell. See if the accessible description can be set to something else, or blank. Don't change the tooltip behavior.

Commit e2981ff blanks out the accessible description on the cell after setting the tooltip
