We still have some time with this one, but at some point in the future we should move to SassC instead, which implements Ruby bindings to LibSass. This should also actually get us a huge speed increase in build times, but I'm unsure at the moment of how to connect SassC to Jekyll (we may have to write our own plugin)

Did some reading into this and active development work is still being done on the sassc-ruby gem to clean it up (see sass/sassc-ruby#85). I imagine that Jekyll 4.0 will switch the sass converter over for us automatically, so we'll just wait it out.
