####f. Performed usability tests with people

As our User Interface (UI) design expert sketched the layouts and visual representation of our application while working with the Product Manager. Actionable software was created and the user group evaluated it and provided feedback.

This was an iterative process as we narrowed in on a responsive form factor that created an intuitive and valuable interface of the data. The Product Manager provided live demonstration to the user group and then had them independently use the prototype. The Product Manager conducted live interviews and solicited electronic feedback from the consumer group to refine the product further to better meet the product goals. As a result, the final prototype successfully enabled users to easily navigate and filter results to get information about product recalls distributed in their area of interest.

The delivery team then iteratively delivered a working prototype through multiple one-day Sprint iterations. Demonstrations were made to the representative user group along with access for each user to test on their own devices. Feedback on the product flow and presentation was collected, discussed and added to the backlog which the Product Manager continually groomed and prioritized. Some feedback items such as adding group by sorting capability and providing link to adverse events reported for a specific product was captured as part of the product roadmap, but in balancing the range of features desired, not all were deemed necessary for the initial Minimal Viable Product (MVP) for the prototype.

  • Demonstration and feedback gathering session Evidence F-3

The prototypes were run through ACCVerify 508 compliance testing tool for 508 compliance. Any non-compliance items found will be added to the future product backlog.
