and v0.1

I'm using onivim since a month and I'm really pleased with it.

I didn't spent time tweaking my neovim config yet according to this new GUI but there's definitely some potential.

Will rework this repo from scratch using my vimfiles folder and maybe switching the scripting language entirely from vimscript to lua or even JS.

Some plugins may have to be written to ensure a better experience with onivim:

  • I don't really like the search experience
  • Ctrl+B doesn't work, should open list of buffers
  • :term is barely usable and I was unable to install split-term (at least on windows). Will keep track of this issue in split-term repo instead
  • The file explorer is nice, but I ended up prefering vimfiler or NERDTree better. Would be nice to work on an onivim plugin to use these plugins under the hood.
  • Snippets are fine
  • vimplug is still a really cool plugin manager I really enjoy. Though, now that Vim 8 is out, I'd like to move to the standard package manager.
    • To expand on this, an onivim plugin that would offer an UI similar to Atom, using the configured package manager. This should allow any vim plugin manager (pathogen, vimplug, etc;) to be used directly from within Onivim.
