This may be somewhat incomplete relative to updated cabal format options, but it changed it from not-working to working for me.
If you would prefer a more complete fix, please let me know (and if possible provide a reference to the docs on the cabal config file that you used) but that will take more time for me to implement though, so please consider accepting this PR and having anything beyond this come via additional PRs.
