The rest of the signature gets copied but the fa icons get left behind. Only the links are copied. Any idea on how to fix this?

Hi, I think you forgot to add the Font Awesome link in you head tag. If you already did that and the issue persists, I'd suggest creating your own Font Awesome kit from here and linking it to the head tag of your index and signature files. Hope this helps.

Thanks for responding. The issue I am having is that I cannot copy the fontawesome icons into the signature box of Gmail. They are rendering just fine locally.

Only the text and the hyperlinks get copied.

This is what it looks like:

I don't know how author got it working but neither can i copy font-awesome icons, though they get rendered in browser.
But there is work around, host icons (preferably .png, don't use .svg files; they don't get loaded) and copy that formatted signature content into your gmail.

Ps. For linked content just link icons to desired addresses and simply copy them. Links get copied as well!

Thank you Tanuj. I'll try that and close the issue if it works.

Workaround:

  1. Go to this repository https://github.com/gauravghongde/social-icons
  2. Upload images to imgur and resize to 32x32
  3. Add them individually to the gmail signature.
  4. Select image individually and add the hyperlink.
  5. Save changes

Thank you all who tried to help.
