Mojo has some very different goals, which center strongly around Python. To do all that they want, will likely take them some years. As of yet, still doesn't have public releases on GitHub.

The languages more compatible with V, would be C and Go, and of which V already has significant interoperability with them. In the context of C, V is already doing, what Mojo hopes to do and has to catch up on.
