symfony/dotenv Correlation

Hi there,

Is there any overlap between this package and the Symfony package package?
Any benefit on using one over the other, or was the symfony package derived from this one?

This package has existed for years before the Symfony one. I can't say I've looked at the Symfony package. Symfony tend to not want to depend on any other package, regardless of if its good, so they can guarantee their LTS statements.
