Only run vsphere -> k8s #1

Reading the docs at https://github.com/vmware/vsphere-affinity-scheduling-plugin/blob/master/docs/design.md - is it possible to only run the vsphere -> k8s part (e.g. labelling of kubernetes nodes)?

How is this supposed to run? as a single pod in the cluster?

Hmm, seems that port of the code is deactivated: https://github.com/vmware/vsphere-affinity-scheduling-plugin/blob/8463648e0d48860131c71180b2173d6d85c636b9/main.go#L94 ?
