The proper Hebrew hyphen, ־ [U+05BE HEBREW PUNCTUATION MAQAF], is used in compounds, constructs and other cases in Hebrew.

Unlike a dash or a "minus" sign used for separation etc., a Hebrew hyphen is aligned with the top of the letters.

Example: עיויית תל־אביב (Municipality of Tel-Aviv)

Because it is not easily accessible, in current Hebrew usage a dash or "minus" sign are much more prevalent.

Marking as advanced priority, since people are using workarounds, however would be good to make this more accessible for all users.
