A brief analysis of the relationship between law and ethics explains that responsible use is not mandatory.

Feedback:
I find the suggestion that responsible use is not mandatory concerning. Could you achieve the same result with “… explains that how responsible use is achieved is not prescribed” (or something along those lines)?

Reply Emily:
I also find it concerning, but unfortunately it is the case. The law does not require people to use spatial data responsibly. There are clear gaps when looking at what we are bound to by law versus what we should be doing from an ethical perspective. So, I would like to keep the phrasing as it is now. I quite like the fact that it is causing concern: perhaps then change will occur.
