Information about implementations known to the Working Group

Both specifications have numerous implementations through current Verifiable Credentials v1.0 deployments.

The SoTD says: "It is not fit for production deployment."

The transition request says: "Both specifications have numerous implementations through current Verifiable Credentials v1.0 deployments."

So, I don't know which one is correct but one of those statements may need to be tweak.

Both statements are varying degrees of "correct".

The SoTD says: "It is not fit for production deployment."

We say this because we do not want people shipping what's in some parts of the spec into production.

The transition request says: "Both specifications have numerous implementations through current Verifiable Credentials v1.0 deployments."

This is also correct, for a subset of the specification, (see the implementation report):

We'll discuss what changes we might want to make to SoTD, possibly by linking the spec to the preliminary implementation report we have, to clarify the balance we're trying to achieve, which is effectively: "Please implement what we have today knowing that things might change, contribute to the test suite, but definitely don't ship your implementation into production."
