See w3c/imsc#317

Specifically, do not use colours alone to indicate deprecation status. As advised by APA.

I reviewed all uses of color to indicate deprecation. The requirement is met since TTML2 does not "use color alone", but always includes the text "is deprecated". There are no "obsoleted" features yet denoted by color, but when they are added in the future, they will include "is obsoleted".
