Hi awesome project!
Does this usb-rtc dongle could be used as NTPD clock source
And another question about using LIR1220 - does it recharges while connected to PC

Hi and thank you. The module itself has no internet connection and no battery charging circuit. It's more like the RTC on the motherboard of your PC, it keeps the time while the host is switched off or can be used as a clock source for systems that have no connection to an NTP server. Of course you can program it so that it synchronizes itself via NTP, as long as there is a corresponding connection via the host.

I mean how can be local ntpd server be synchronized with this dongle
And another question about ordering this device: there are some errors on jlpcb while loading your project with one side SMT. is it ok?

  1. That is probably possible, but I haven't really looked into this matter yet. But you will have to program a little something yourself.
  2. I always solder the boards myself (that's the real fun ;-). So I don't know if it works with the JLCPCB SMT assembly.
