would like the find bar to have more visual contrast, esp in the 'light' theme so that the options are more clearly visible.

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

I wasn't able to clearly notice the option to make searching case-sensitive, the original request on this FR was to allow for case-sensitive search which was already implemented but not clearly visible.

We actually support this already! You can toggle case-sensitive search on using this button within the find bar:

Sure! When you say "in light mode", which specific theme are you using? The "Light" theme?

Yes, the Light theme. Sorry to be imprecise, "dark mode" is talked about so much, I didn't even think about the terminology.
