Door Construction

The side channels are pre-drilled. If you are using 2x6 lumber the board must not extend past the end of the c-channel, otherwise the bottom lag screw will be too close to the edge of the board. Same on the bottom. This means if you follow the directions and use a 2x10 below the bar rail, you will have to rip one or more of the other boards in order for things to line up. It depends on how wide (tall) each board is.
