Hello,

I have a quick start board running under Android 2.3.4(freescale i.MX53 board).
I would like to know how to port the serial port api in the OS.
I would like at the end use this api to write and read command using the uart
of this board.

best regards

I'm a newbie and ran into the same problem.

The cause of this was that I rebuild the whole project and put the java source
files into different locations.
In source file "Application.java" you have code line "SharedPreferences sp =
getSharedPreferences("android_serialport_api.sample_preferences",
MODE_PRIVATE);"
Here I had to change "android_serialport_api.sample" into the package name of
file "Application.java" to let the application find the stored preferences.
I guess you run into the same problem.

Another pitfall was the location of files "SerialPort.java" and
"SerialPortFinder.java". They must be placed in package
"android_serialport_api" otherwise you will get a runtime conflict because of
the "libserial_port.so" library.

Finally I got the project up and running.
