MEX documentation #92
Comments
Hi Alex, Thanks for this. I have finally finished the document on the correspondence of national occupation codes and ISCO and I kindly ask you to read it and comment on it (as well as on the NAICS to ISIC one). In addition, I changed the folder that contained the images and called it "utilities". This is so it makes sense that it contains more than images. I put your On to the document at hand. My first comment would be to change the filename to something that gives the reader a bit of info. The user will enter the folder trying to find context information and has no idea what we have written. All they see at this point is the file name. While, once they click on it, they will have a full document with a clear title, we should try to make their live easier from the get-go. Since this is more of an introductory text and should be read before the other two, one possible simple option would be The second comment is on structure. You currently have two titles at the same level (technically two, one with the Finally, I would rework to streamline a bit the structure. One proposal from me would be:
(*) I recommend adding the table from this INEGI document which may be a good file to link to in the final point on more info. |
Dear @gronert-m , I have not yet checked the post you wrote, I will do that as soon as I am done with this post. and I will provide comments accordingly. |
Hi @alexandraqn, I finished writing an intro on the Employment and Unemployment Survey for India. Having written this, I would request to add to your ENOE text two small points. One on providing the link to the Microdata (i.e., let people know where the data can be downloaded) and one on the significance level (it is in the Finally, I would request you give some context to the list of links. Say what each one does. So the first is the general documentation site of ENOE. The third is the interviewer manual so the text should be something like: The INEGI compiled comprehensive information on the questionnaires and the survey in general. The overall documentation site on ENOE can be found here. The (Spanish language) manual on ENOE methods and procedures is available here, while... That way people know what they are going to get before they click on the link. |
@gronert-m After reading your India introduction, and I think it looks great. I wonder if it would make sense to sit down and discuss our thoughts on the structure of the introduction to agree on titles, subtitles and content so that it is uniform across countries. Tomorrow will be a great platform to speak about this. Let me know your thoughts. |
@alexandraqn I think that is a great idea! I will add it to the agenda for today. |
Hi @gronert-m, This is the most updated version (https://github.com/worldbank/gld/blob/develop-merge/Support/Country%20Survey%20Details/MEX/ENOE/ENOE-Introduction.md) of the MEX documentation, following some of the guidelines we agreed last Friday. Please, let me know your comments. |
Hi @gronert-m , |
Hi @alexandraqn , Thanks for updating this. I have made a small change to the section on the geographic significance level. I also had a few small comments. The first is on the What is the sampling procedure? section. You write:
However, I cannot see this recent version section you speak of. What I propose is to take a screenshot of it. I can show you how to include images into the text. That makes it easier for readers to find the information. The second on the The ENOE sub-section under Other Noteworthy Aspects. This is no longer needed as it is in the first part. Finally, under the ISCO Mapping (MEX) sub-section, it talks of the choice in quarter, which I think you covered under Information used in the GLD harmonization so I think that is also redundant. |
Hi @gronert-m , |
Hi @gronert-m ,
I just finished a very brief summary of the ENOE survey questionnaires. In particular, I focused on the short and extended versions of the questionnaires.
The link is here: https://github.com/worldbank/gld/blob/develop-merge/Support/Country%20Survey%20Details/MEX/ENOE/versions.md
I would be happy to hear if you agree with the content. Please, feel free to make comments on the file itself if that suits you better.
