Hi!
I experinced an error when wanted to install the esmpack package. I tried to enter the code manually or paste or restart the program, it didn't help. Do you have any idea what I should do differently or what could be the problem?
Thank you very much!
Sophie

I just tried and had no problems installing it. Can you post the output from .libPaths()? You could also try running update.packages(ask=FALSE) to make sure all packages (including remotes and its dependencies) are fully up-to-date before trying to install esmpack.

I actually have the same (but also a slightly different) issue. I've been running my script in which ESMPack is used for a while now (last time was end of August) but all of a sudden when I tried to run the script today it started giving me a strange error that the package wasn't installed, and when installing via "remotes::install_github("wviechtb/esmpack")" I get the following (see screenshot):

So it's the same problem (not being able to install ESMPack) but seemingly for a different reason. If I'm supposed to create a separate issue I apologise; let me know and I can migrate it to a new issue.

I replied to your issue @Gryphire in #3. As for @Sophie-Toth -- you might want to search for install_github "file name conversion problem and see if you find any useful hints. This is not an esmpack issue, but something related to your setup.
