1000s of thanks to all those who contributed to this app! @x0b @cdnstatic @alyssadev @crowdin-rcx etc...

I see that there are no releases since 2021, and i can't find a public statement anywhere.

Can any of the maintainers offer a status update?

Inquiring minds, want to know...

Afaik there's no urgent bugs that need fixing, the app works well and does all the things it needs to, what would a new release accomplish?

no pressure, and i agree the app works great!

annnd... there are some really "nice to haves". eg: #202 #221 #121

If you as the core dev team (if there is such a thing) consider the app feature complete, then i will consider forking it.
If you want to collaborate to add some more features I (and other potential contributors) could look into work flows.

what would a new release accomplish?

i think we could accomplish quite a lot with out tooo much effort.

Mostly I am asking for a general status update, as people start to assume that the project is "dead"...

feature complete with available, but inactive maintainers is different than dead.

I made one feature submission PR once, definitely not any kind of core dev team member.
Individual users should feel free to make their own fork, pull the commits they want from PRs, write the code they want, and build the project themselves with the features they want. In my opinion, the app is feature complete, it implements all the important functions of rclone. If users consider the project dead, it's GPL, go ahead and make a fork and fix that if you're so inclined. If the single developer who made this as a passion project returns, they could then include those changes in this original version.

sorry but the rcx app is really behind respect to rclone binary and new cloud providers support.

That's why I said in my opinion, and that it implements all the important functions. I don't have any kind of special say in this, I'm not a maintainer here.

I have forked this and implemented automation. I wanted to contribute it but i also didnt get a response, so in the meantime you may want to look at my fork: extRact
