IE6 Support

Hi,

I see that IE6 support is disabled but I can't see an explanation as to why this is. Is there a reason? Would it be possible for me to manually add IE6 afterwards or is there a problem that blocks IE6 support?

Awesome script BTW, just running in the background now... looking like it's going to take several days!

The issue with the IE6 VM is that it runs under XP, which VirtualBox does not support out of the box. Specifically, VirtualBox does not ship with a network adapter that's compatible with XP without a 3rd party driver. We could get around that by automating the install of an appropriate driver, but licensing restrictions prevent us from distributing a driver that works. I've had initial success with an alternative method, but it's definitely not ready for the masses yet. Soon

@xdissent what are you personally doing for IE6 in your own testing work these days (given there's no magic ievms solution as yet)? Could we work up a donation drive to motivate you? ;)

@xdissent thanks for the explanation, I tried to get it working manually and had some amount of success but ran in to other problems that prevented it from being a workable solution. Thanks for your time - much appreciated!
