Package Could Not Be Installed

Hi,

I getting this error when trying to update a plugin:

“The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature”

Note: When using "Plugin Update Checker" I do not get this error.

Have you tried downloading the update manually and verifying that it actually is a valid Zip file? Maybe the update URL returns an HTTP error for some reason.

Also, I'm not sure what to make of your note. Do you mean that you're using a different update checking library and it fails when trying to install an update, but it works fine with Plugin Update Checker?

Thank you for the reply.

I apologise as this is not an error with this library but with WordPress itself and a fix for this is planned in WordPress 3.6.
