What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

-Your PHP open base dir restriction could interfere with cURL. Fortunately, 
there exist some workarounds.

-The log cache is empty.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
You are using the latest (smt)2 version: 2.0.2
Hosting: MySQL 5.1 libraries: cURL & Json on.

This is not an smt2 issue.
Your server has some restrictions, and that means that cURL could not work as 
expected.
Please read read the workarounds to fix it.
