Hi, since the author is very busy lately and the extension broke recently: here's a bugfixed version which works on my latest chromeos:

download this build zip
download it & unzip it
surf to chrome://extensions
click 'load unpacked' (see screenshot)
select the directory with the unzipped contents
voila, you can now select it in the file explorer (3 dots -> Add new Service)
