Considering the small sizes of the MAME files it could be great to add a service of sync between device via iCloud or Dropbox.

Latest version (2020.1) lets you import ROMs or ZIPs of ROMs via iOS file sharing. It is not a sync service, but you can easily send a ZIP stored in DropBox to MAME4iOS.
