It's somewhat like the official YT Music UI. I'm still working on the playlist, artist page. More importantly is the player system to support YouTube radio. Still a lot of work, but "visible" work.😊

Korea has restrictions on YouTube music due to copyright issues. Maybe that's why if you use it in Korea, there is a problem that you can't play the song. You can turn on vpn to use it. Is there any other solution?

You cannot search for songs in the current full release, but you can find and listen to them in the album.

@owencz1998 Ohh, I knew that blackhole plays music via normal youtube, but I didn't know that yt music playlists are also available on normal youtube.
I thought there was some special method behind that..

@PKRN0 I think some yt music is on youtube but I think yt music is just a skin really I think youtube is global but definitely know youtube music is restricted to some if u can find a proxy for the app that would be awsome if not then vpn will be your best bet unless I can see about making a proxy server for this app which will cost me but I don't mind helping as much as I can 🙂

@owencz1998 Yeah.. finding a good free proxy is very difficult.. almost impossible. Some services like orbot is too slow for browsing and playing music.
I would really appreciate for your support if you make a proxy server for this app :)
But I'm a student and don't have much money to donate you, so I don't wanna tell someone on internet to pay for my convinience.

When searching a artist then playing a song from a album it's playing the video and not just the song is that normal dude

Since you can now add an album to the library, I realize the importance of fetching the song version. It will look messy when switch to the song tab.

I found a simpler workaround; all you have to do is perform another /browse request with VL$playlistId as browseId (https://github.com/vfsfitvnm/ViMusic/blob/master/youtube-music/src/main/kotlin/it/vfsfitvnm/youtubemusic/YouTube.kt#L887).

The downside of this design is that users lost their state when navigating to other sections in the bottom nav. I'd prefer Instagram's design, which remembers every tab's state.

Issues with songs streaming when playing a track it randomly stops in like mid of the song and I have to constantly click play till it starts working again then the song sounds a bit funny then goes back to normal dude

The next commit involves new database structure, so many things have to be rewritten. There's still little development in these days, but I'm not ready to push the commit. Expect to push in 1~4 days.

Genius API returns the url to browse lyrics, not the string of lyrics. I have to parse the html to extract the lyrics.

The innertube debug always crasching for me. Can't do anything, either search or check the bottombar.

Is it meant to be so way, because it is under development?

Yeah debug does have things like sometimes crashes and a little laggy now and then but search should work I'm only facing top results as a issue atm not sure if downloads have been fixed yet but I think there's still loads in the works it would be cool to have a full release of this with an inapp updater working might help a lot of issues even if they had the updater separate from the fully released app and have it so when a commit on github is made we would receive it an update like beta basically

If you try the debug apk, you know that there are some buttons/features not working/missing. I will have less time on this project when the semester starts, so I have no ETA, too.

what about releasing stable after fixing bugs?
new features can be added slowly slowly instead of fully fledged update why not divide them in smaller updates?

Start radio in default starts a new queue, so the song will play in the beginning. But yeah I should handle this case and prevent it from playing from start.
